Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site support and managing reliability contracts for mechanical seals.

  • Provide technical guidance and assistance during seal installation and removal on site.
  • Conduct initial assessments and inspections of pumps and seals on site.
  • Support the commissioning of seal systems.
  • Perform 5-point checks on equipment prior to seal installation.
  • Identify potential causes of seal failures and implement recommendations proactively.
  • Coordinate seal activation and tracking.
  • Ensure timely repair of seals.
  • Prepare inspection reports and perform failure analysis.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for bad actors in the plant.
  • Manage reliability data, trending, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders through regular meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment and seal database using John Crane Interface Reliability Management software.
  • Perform root cause analysis, failure mode assessment, recommendations, and reporting.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) on a periodic basis.
  • Understand customer needs and review installations to make engineering proposals, quantify benefits, and prepare presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-8 years of experience in pumps and mechanical seals in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry.
  • Sound knowledge of API Standards.
  • Field experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of pumps and seals.
  • Exposure to condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, ultra-sound analysis, motion amplification is an advantage.
