Senior Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, this individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, managing and maintaining proposed systems.

This role involves a range of responsibilities, including handling enquiries, resolving bugs, applying software patches, supporting service requests, change requests and amendments to the system due to change in business requirements.

The successful candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills, as well as a proven track record in system design, implementation, and maintenance. Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Ubuntu is essential.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Systems: Design, implement, test, manage and maintain proposed systems.
  • Collaborate with Team Leader: Work closely with the Team Leader to meet system delivery milestones.
  • Resolve Technical Issues: Handle enquiries, resolve bugs, apply software patches, support service requests, change requests and amendments to the system.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams.
  • Diagnostics and Problem Resolution: Engage with back-line support and/or with vendor's support to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
  • Operational Assistance: Assist in day-to-day operation of the System Delivery team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering: Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant IT Experience: 3-5 years of relevant IT experience with RHEL or Ubuntu.
  • System Design and Implementation: Proven experience in system design, implementation, and maintenance.
