Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in remodeling and repairing various aspects of buildings, including cabinets, counters, shelves, tables, and furniture.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Remodeling and repairing cabinets, counters, shelves, tables, and furniture as required;
  • Replacing and repairing door closures and locks;
  • Building and repairing walls, partitions, doorways, window frames, stairs, and roofs;
  • Installing window glass and screens;
  • Applying wall and floor covering materials;
  • Installing and repairing ceramic and other tiles;
  • Refinishing furniture and painting and staining building interiors and exteriors;

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising less skilled carpenters and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in carpentry or a related field;
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of building codes and regulations;
  • Strong communication and leadership skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;

In addition, applicants should possess a strong attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
