Logistics Coordinator

The logistics coordinator plays a pivotal role within the shipping services industry. This position entails assisting with various aspects of shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the procurement team by ensuring accurate and efficient filing of shipping documents, including tracking and cargo documents.
- Manage subscriptions to ship tracking systems, compiling regular reports on vessel schedules and shipment deadlines.
- Establish effective communication channels with internal departments, port agents, and consignees to synchronize logistics operations.
- Provide administrative support to the shipping and operations departments, including the processing and filing of Bills of Lading, letters of indemnity, and documentation for loading/discharge ports.
- Calculate laytime for each voyage based on relevant shipping documents for all company-chartered or owned vessels.
- Assist in preparing loading reports, ensuring compliance, and handling ad-hoc assignments from management.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should have prior experience in logistics administration, possess strong organizational and documentation skills, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
