Teaching Music in Singapore

A leading music school in Singapore is seeking dedicated musicians to join its team of teachers from all over the world. As a music teacher, you will be responsible for planning and preparing lessons tailored to individual students' needs and examination syllabuses.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent qualification in music, with at least 1-2 years of experience in teaching or related fields. A bright and cheerful personality with confident communication skills is essential.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students' needs and examination syllabuses
  • Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students entering and preparing pupils for examinations
  • Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources for music lessons
  • Motivate students and encourage progress in the student's learning journey
  • Assess students' abilities, providing feedback and writing reports for parental feedback
  • Accompaniment or ensemble practice and performance
Requirements:
  • Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma in Music (ATCL/DipABRSM)*
  • 1-2 years of experience in teaching or related fields preferred
  • Bright and cheerful personality with confident communication skills
