Job Title

A strategic communication role exists in a public sector organization.

  • Assist in identifying and formulating comprehensive strategic plans to enhance the town council's communication capabilities.
  • Develop and implement multi-channel communications strategies to engage residents and foster a strong internal culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing digital presence, creating compelling content, and supporting crisis and internal communications.
  • Developing, scheduling, and publishing daily social media content to increase engagement and follower growth.
  • Assisting in managing the BTPTC website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Tracking and analysing digital performance metrics to improve strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Experience in a public sector or community-focused organisation is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills in English with adaptability for different channels.
  • Digital Native: Proven experience managing corporate social media accounts and understanding engaging digital content.
  • Production Skills: Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and basic video editing is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret digital analytics and translate insights into action.
  • Crisis Composure: Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Stakeholder Management: Good interpersonal skills with ability to work with various departments and vendors.
  • Someone who are creative, proactive, meticulous, discreet, and genuinely interested in community building and public service.
