Marine Repair Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Marine Repair Specialist to oversee ship repair & maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, coordinating, and supervising marine system repairs.

  • The successful candidate will develop project plans to ensure timely completion, conduct thorough inspections of marine systems, and liaise with stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution.

The key skills required for this role include a degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering, a minimum 3-5 years' experience in ship repair/shipyard/marine engineering, and strong knowledge of marine systems and ship repair practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop project plans to ensure timely completion, taking into account the needs of all stakeholders involved.
  • Maintenance Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of marine systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize their performance.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with ship owners, class surveyors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth execution and ensure that all parties are informed and aligned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering: A bachelor's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering is essential for this role.
  • Experience in Ship Repair/Shipyard/Marine Engineering: A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in ship repair, shipyard, or marine engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of Marine Systems and Ship Repair Practices: Strong knowledge of marine systems and ship repair practices is essential for this role.
