Financial Audit Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Audit Specialist to join our team at Careers@Gov. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's financial processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform financial, compliance, and operational audits of the organisation, covering risk assessments, audit programme preparation, and timely execution of audit procedures.
- Conduct thorough reviews of internal controls for organisational processes, providing recommendations to mitigate identified risks and presenting findings to Management and the Audit Committee.
- Collaborate on ad-hoc projects as needed, offering advisory services and contributing to the development of governance processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, CISA, and CFE are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in internal audit and/or external audit roles.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of governance principles, risk management, and control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate risks and improve governance processes through audit recommendations and best practice sharing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage management and collaborate with teams.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, and deliver results under minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like ACL, SQL, and IDEA would be an advantage.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
