Heavy Machinery Operator

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators, for site excavation and grading tasks in compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure efficient execution of ground stabilisation works like soil nailing, shotcreting, and installing anchoring systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities on the excavator to maintain optimal performance levels.
- Work within established safety protocols to avoid workplace accidents and injuries.
- Perform general duties at the construction site when not operating equipment, if necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of excavator operations, including safe handling and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, taking direction from site supervisors and engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with capacity to think critically and resolve issues promptly.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Willingness to undertake training and professional development opportunities to enhance job skills and performance.
