Operational Risk Management Professional

The Operational Risk Management team at Mizuho Bank plays a critical role in supporting the strategic objectives and plans set forth by the management. Our primary focus is on operations key risks, Business Continuity Management (BCM)/Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Third Party Risk Management, and service quality.
Mizuho Bank is a subsidiary of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and NYSE. We provide financial and strategic solutions for diverse and sophisticated client needs with offices in major cities worldwide, including Tokyo, New York, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Strengthen the bank's operational risk framework and provide adequate training to staff.
- Provide timely updates to branch staff on Head Office Operations Procedure (HOP) changes to ensure business operations align with Head Office practices.
- Review and approve Branch Internal Operations Procedures.
- Review new product/service processes and procedural flows to ensure operations capabilities.
- Coordinate with branch staff to conduct Control Self-Assessment (CSA) to ensure internal controls, procedures, and systems are adequate, functional, and conform to organizational standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with branch staff to conduct Key Risk Indicator (KRI) monitoring and mitigation or reporting.
- Elevate incident/operational error and customer satisfaction reports to Management.
- Perform Intra-Office Inspection (IOI) on the Singapore Branch according to HOP.
- Assist Section Heads in project planning and implementation.
- Clarify workflow issues and provide necessary feedback and solutions to streamline processes.
