As a Senior Software Engineer, Large Model Development at ByteDance PTE. LTD., you will be responsible for the development of the Ark Large Model Platform on Volcano Engine. This involves researching and implementing systematic solutions for large model applications in various industries, with a focus on reducing the IT cost of large models and meeting the growing demand for intelligent interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Update software, enhance existing software capabilities, and develop and direct software testing and validation procedures.
- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with distributed systems under Linux platforms.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages, such as Golang, Python, C, C++, Java, Scala, or JavaScript.
- Excellent technical design and coding skills, with the ability to balance technical perspectives with product sense, hardware performance, and team cooperation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in machine learning application development, including data, model training, inference, and application in various machine learning domains.
- Familiarity with large language models, including dataset construction, high-performance fine-tuning, model inference, and deployment.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, including Kubernetes application development, microservices, service mesh, and cloud storage.
