We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Automotive Operations Manager to oversee daily activities in our workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Workflow Management
  1. Take over vehicles from the Service Advisor after job registration.
  2. Assess the nature and urgency of each repair or service.
  3. Delegate tasks to appropriate workshop teams based on complexity and specialization.
  4. Monitor work-in-progress to ensure efficient job flow and minimal downtime.
Preventive Maintenance Planning
  1. Examine vehicle service history, mileage, and usage conditions.
  2. Recommend preventive repairs or part replacements to extend vehicle lifespan.
  3. Advise the Service Advisor on additional findings that may impact the service quotation.
Post-Repair Quality Control
  1. Perform detailed inspections after repairs are completed.
  2. Conduct test drives to confirm that vehicles meet all safety and performance standards.
  3. Ensure that repair work adheres to both manufacturer guidelines and workshop SOPs.
Handover Notification
  1. Notify the Service Advisor promptly once the vehicle is fully serviced and ready for collection.
  2. Verify that all job cards, diagnostic reports, and checklists are properly completed and signed off.
  3. Support smooth and professional customer handovers when needed.
Requirements
  • Nitec or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in workshop operations, preferably in a supervisory or technical lead role.
  • Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and parts management.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality control and safety.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in workshop management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Class 3 driving license.

This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent leadership and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of automotive engineering principles and be able to communicate effectively with technicians, managers, and customers.
