We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Automotive Operations Manager to oversee daily activities in our workshop.
Key Responsibilities:- Vehicle Workflow Management
- Take over vehicles from the Service Advisor after job registration.
- Assess the nature and urgency of each repair or service.
- Delegate tasks to appropriate workshop teams based on complexity and specialization.
- Monitor work-in-progress to ensure efficient job flow and minimal downtime.
- Examine vehicle service history, mileage, and usage conditions.
- Recommend preventive repairs or part replacements to extend vehicle lifespan.
- Advise the Service Advisor on additional findings that may impact the service quotation.
- Perform detailed inspections after repairs are completed.
- Conduct test drives to confirm that vehicles meet all safety and performance standards.
- Ensure that repair work adheres to both manufacturer guidelines and workshop SOPs.
- Notify the Service Advisor promptly once the vehicle is fully serviced and ready for collection.
- Verify that all job cards, diagnostic reports, and checklists are properly completed and signed off.
- Support smooth and professional customer handovers when needed.
- Nitec or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in workshop operations, preferably in a supervisory or technical lead role.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and parts management.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality control and safety.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in workshop management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid Class 3 driving license.
This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent leadership and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of automotive engineering principles and be able to communicate effectively with technicians, managers, and customers.
