Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dim Sum Chef/Sous Chef to join our team at Goodwood Park Hotel Private Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the Dim Sum kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of employees to achieve exceptional food quality and service standards.
  2. Food Operations: Assist the Master Chef in managing food cost, inventory, and production to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  3. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation, presentation, and taste to ensure consistency and excellence.
  4. Staff Development: Train and develop employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  5. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock, and ensure that all food items are received, stored, and handled in accordance with hotel standards.
  6. Cost Control: Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure that they are within budget.
  7. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  8. Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, and ensure that all employees adhere to hotel health and safety policies and procedures.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance food quality, service standards, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dim Sum Chef/Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve exceptional food quality and service standards.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
