Job Title: Emerging Technology Educator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our team as an Emerging Technology Educator. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching prescribed topics in a classroom and workshop setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach prescribed topics in the classroom and workshop, utilizing interactive and engaging methods to facilitate student learning.
  • To develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • To prepare and maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • To provide pastoral care and support to students through rapport building, student management, and counseling.
  • To collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver professional development programs for teachers.

Requirements:

  • Possess a relevant diploma with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Caring and responsible towards the learning challenges of Normal (Technical) stream students.
  • Strong sense of integrity and team-spirit.
  • Possess skills and knowledge in Internet-of-Things Applications, including:
    • Able to configure or setup router, switch, wireless access points.
    • Able to configure or setup IoT devices like Smart Switch, Electrical Plug, Contact Sensor, PIR (Motion Sensor), Camera, Curtain/Blinds, Sound Systems, Fans and Lights, and Bluetooth/Zigbee/Wifi Wireless Gateway.
    • Able to operate under Windows/Mac OS, with Linux OS being an added advantage.
    • Able to perform electrical wiring and network cabling fabrication.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
