Product Owner, Global SME

About the Role:
Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) is seeking a talented Product Owner to help us develop the technology ecosystem for our SME segment.
This role can be based in either London or Singapore.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and communicating the product vision of the MMB SME digital and technology requirements and roadmaps while managing product development and backlogs to enable delivery of customer and user needs.
You will be the main SME Product Owner globally, enabling delivery of new platforms while helping local and regional stakeholders to adopt the system and accurately prioritize the backlog based on business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- To join at the early stage of new feature, product development.
- The opportunity to engage with and influence colleague & customer experience on a Global scale.
- To define and prioritize the product vision and roadmap.
- To collaborate with business stakeholders & development squads to define the goal and scope of product iterations.
- To work with the Systems Analyst (SA) to maximize the value of the development squad's work by creating a shared understanding of the product vision/goal.
- To own new features, understand their business value, work with the SA to capture functional and performance requirements and provide visibility into the value within the product.
- To be responsible for stakeholder management across multiple disciplines in the organisation from a product roadmap perspective.
- To act as the primary reference point around the product for the development squads by providing the necessary clarity when required (e.g. product documentation, UI/UX behaviour, etc).
- To work in a partnership with the Systems Analyst to maintain the Product Backlog ensuring that Epics and User Stories are continuously prioritized and aligned to the Product Roadmap, MVP and budget.
- To ensure that business requirements contain all necessary items to be handed over to the development teams (opportunity canvas, business scenarios, user stories, acceptance criteria etc.).
- To lead or participate in regular showcase of feature enhancements to business stakeholders with support from the squad.
- To support the business by helping them build strong relationships with new and existing clients through enhancement of their product knowledge.
- To verify the product deliverable meets the Acceptance Criteria and receive sign-off from the business stakeholders that work is accepted.
