Engineering Operations Manager Job Description
- Roles & Responsibilities:
Candidates are expected to:-
- To be responsible for the maintenance, repair and operation of tug engines and deck machinery.
- To oversee fuel consumption and bunkering operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- To attend to minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks on tug equipment and machinery.
- To monitor and record engine performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- To coordinate with technicians during repairs and maintenance activities.
- To ensure all equipment and appliances on board are properly maintained and greased.
- To handle towlines and equipment during tug operations as instructed by the Tug Master.
- To perform cleaning and maintenance work of tug decks, engine rooms, and other equipment.
- To conduct lookout duties as required by the Tug Master.
- To secure the tug alongside and assist in splicing or replacing tow ropes.
- To inspect life-saving apparatus and ensure its validity and operation readiness.
- To participate in fire-fighting duties.
- To adhere to company Quality Policy and Objectives for service level.
- To comply with company QHSSE Policy, Objectives and Management Programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Port Limit Engine Driver (2nd Class) licence issued by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore;
- Ability to perform shift work.
Benefits:
Monthly salary includes night shift allowance, special transport allowance, meal allowance, and productivity incentives after successful training completion.
New hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to S$3,000 subject to terms and conditions.
Training Program:
Shortlisted candidates will join as Trainee Engineering Officer and undergo the Engineering Officer Training Program.
