This role involves the full spectrum of accounting for oil and gas trade transactions. The successful candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, be detail-oriented, and able to work within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle various products' financials including sales, purchases, cost of goods sold, adjustments, reporting, and analysis.
  • Reconcile accounting to trading systems for accuracy of the accounting ledger.
  • Prepare accounting schedules and conduct monthly analytical reviews of financial fluctuations for various oil products.
  • Perform monthly closing to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare statutory reports to HQ or based on management's requirements.
  • Account for paper trades by adopting hedging accounting.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors on accounting-related matters.
  • Identify and implement process and control improvements for better efficiency and reporting quality.
  • Assist in ERP project related to accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy.
  • Professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Experience in SAP S/4 Hana will be an added advantage.
  • Meticulous, high adaptability, and resilience.
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Able to work within tight timelines.
