Job Description Overview

JointHire Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our Factory Automation & Smart-Factory project teams. The role involves leading and supervising all design activities to ensure customer requirements are met.

The successful candidate will interpret customer requirements, translate them into proposal conceptualization, and liaise with customers on project proposals, subsequent project activities, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer requirements and translate them into proposal conceptualization for new machines/equipment.
  • Liaise with customers on project proposals, subsequent project activities, and development.
  • Monitor and follow up on project teams to ensure smooth workflows in manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Lead and mentor project and design reviews with customer feedback on project matters.
  • Follow up with vendors on project-related matters.
  • Perform detailed designs and critical drawings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of related working experience, preferably as a Lead or Senior Design Engineer.
  • Experience in automation design, Factory Automation, and/or SMART Factory platform is an asset.
  • Mechanical engineering background is desirable.
  • Working experience in mechanical design apps/software, e.g. INVENTOR, 2-D AutoCAD, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
