Job Description

As a key member of our organization, the Lead Data Strategist will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing data-driven solutions that drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data governance, security, and compliance, with expertise in cloud environments and cloud security architecture.

They will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders to define and refine problem statements, translating business requirements into data/analytics solutions, and tracking and monitoring KPIs of data strategies and related programs.

The successful candidate will also lead data governance implementation and maintenance, establish data classification and handling procedures, and develop policy and compliance management frameworks.

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Provide training and support to ensure compliance with data governance policies
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science/Informatics/Computer Science/IT/Engineering or relevant fields
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT security and compliance
  • Strong background in AWS/Azure Cloud environments and cloud security architecture
  • Proven expertise in policy implementation and compliance frameworks, with preference for Healthcare and Government project experience
  • Experience in healthcare systems security, data protection, and privacy regulations
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, security controls, and data-driven technologies
  • Professional certifications in IT security or compliance would be good to have
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate complex technical subjects for various stakeholders
  • Experience in managing large-scale data-driven initiatives and analytics solutions
  • Self-motivated and Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage concurrent workstreams
  • Embrace growth mindset - Think strategically and innovatively, view challenges as opportunities, and demonstrate strong ownership for results
