Job Summary:

Goltens is seeking a highly skilled Chockfast Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out chocking of engines, stern tubes, and deck machinery on various vessels and installations in Singapore and surrounding countries.
  • Apply Phillycald 1775/620TS and Devcon materials to ensure proper chocking and maintenance.
  • Provide excellent customer service and liaison on job sites in various locations.
  • Interpret technical drawings and documents to determine repair parts and procedures.
  • Operate and inspect completed work to ensure repair success.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and conduct daily machine tool preventive maintenance.
  • Store machining fixtures for future use and assist the Foreman in completing work scope within the given time frame.
  • Manage time and coordinate all aspects of the job assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Demonstrate efficient job planning and time scheduling.
  • Execute all tasks with prescribed safety equipment in place and follow OSHA rules.
  • Prioritize safety and health for yourself and colleagues and follow the company's environment, health, and safety policy.

Requirements:

  • At least ITE certificate or O' Level.
  • Technical knowledge and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently, and efficiently.
  • Quality conscious with the ability to meet productivity goals.
  • Physically fit, hardworking, and initiative.
  • Able to travel overseas.
