About Our Roles

A key role in our organization seeks professionals to lead negotiations on various trading and regulatory documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for complete documentation process from drafting, reviewing, and negotiating to execution & filing of CDEA, ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, MSFTA's suite of documentation and Master Confirmation Agreements for all Equity Derivative products and related ancillary documents; and related regulatory initial margin documents
  • Review of legal opinions on netting and collateral enforceability including liaising with external counsel
  • Development and execution of negotiation strategies to balance client and firm needs
  • Independently lead complex and/or sensitive negotiations for high profile clients
  • Collaborate with the Franchise and Prime business, in particular (Franchise) New Business Group and Client Services
  • Provide guidance, training and coaching for junior team members
  • Responding to queries on the master documentation from various departments including the front office;
  • Ongoing opportunity to challenge existing controls/processes and leverage experience to identify risks and improve effectiveness of the team
  • Develop and nurture relationships across the firm to build consensus and execute initiatives
  • Actively participate in community engagements to foster support and inclusiveness
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent or JD with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Legal/Trading Documentation role (including within a Credit, Risk or Treasury function) or attorney/paralegal experience within a law firm
  • Knowledge of various legal entities including funds, insurance companies and pensions
  • Proven excellent organizational and prioritisation skills and attention to detail in a fast paced working environment
  • Proven ability to negotiate and review detailed legal documents with an eye for detail and accuracy, particularly around documentation terms
  • Ability to ensure consistency across documentation and know when to escalate issues
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Enthusiasm and interest in development of documentation skills and using such skills for completion of negotiation process
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and develop full job ownership
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Strong commercial acumen with keen interest in derivative, repo, securities lending markets and products and/or prime brokerage products and services
  • Proficient in IT and able to adapt to various databases/systems
