Service Engineer Position OverviewThis role is focused on providing technical expertise in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.The ideal candidate will have a diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field.A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting for advanced laboratory equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues in electronic and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Providing technical training to laboratory personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Preparing accurate service reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to meet project deliverables.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of electronic circuits, sensors, control systems, and instrumentation principles.
  • Familiarity with analytical instruments, preferably in fuel/lubricant testing, tribology, or material analysis.
  • Knowledge of ASTM and ISO standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • The Service Engineer will be based in Singapore and will be required to travel occasionally to regional markets.

  • Knowledge of both international and local regulatory standards for scientific equipment is also beneficial.
