Tile Layer Professional

The role of a floor tiler is vital in ensuring the architectural appeal and durability of structures. As a skilled tile layer, your responsibilities will encompass preparing surfaces for tiling, accurately aligning and leveling tiles, cutting and shaping tiles to fit around obstacles, and installing decorative wall and floor mosaics.

  • Prefabrication and Installation: Prepare substrates using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar, applying tools such as screeds, brushes, and trowels to ensure a solid foundation. Utilize straightedges, spirit levels, and squares to align and level tiles precisely, achieving clean patterns and finishes.
  • Cutting and Shaping: Cut and shape tiles with precision to fit around obstructions and into tight or irregular spaces, employing both hand and power tools. Install, polish, and finish granite and marble surfaces, maintaining high accuracy during installation for long-lasting results.
  • Decorative Mosaic Installation: Design and install decorative wall and floor mosaics in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms. Carefully tap tiles into place using appropriate tools to ensure proper adhesion while preventing damage or breakage.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean surfaces thoroughly and apply waterproofing materials or lath as required. Read and follow blueprints accurately; measure and mark surfaces to determine the layout approach for each tiling project.
