Job Title: Advanced Messaging Systems Architect

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Messaging Systems Architect to lead large-scale Kafka migrations, focusing on architecting resilient streaming environments and guiding organizations through complex migration journeys.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading end-to-end messaging strategy and execution, as well as architecting and optimizing messaging systems for scalability, high availability, and security.

Responsibilities include:

">
  1. Leading messaging system migrations and ensuring minimal downtime.
  2. Managing data replication and cutover using MirrorMaker2 or equivalent tooling.
  3. Ensuring integration with downstream systems via Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and CDC pipelines.
  4. Driving automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) for deployment, upgrades, and operations.
  5. Establishing observability and performance management with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.
  6. Defining governance, access controls, and schema evolution best practices.
  7. Partnering with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure sustainable messaging adoption.

Key Requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience in messaging system migrations (Confluent, MSK, Event Hubs, OSS Kafka).
  • Strong knowledge of messaging architecture, scaling, operations, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with migration and replication tools (MirrorMaker2, Replicator, or similar).
  • Skilled in infrastructure automation and CI/CD for messaging systems.
  • Solid understanding of security and compliance (ACLs, RBAC, encryption, IAM integration).
  • Experience with messaging ecosystem tools (Connect, Schema Registry, CDC).
