Senior Tax Professional

We have exciting opportunities for experienced tax professionals to join our team in the tax department. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver timely and accurate services to clients, analyzing transaction structures, and providing preliminary findings on tax due diligence reviews, restructuring advice, and ad-hoc tax advisory projects.

  • GST Responsibilities:
  • Assist with GST compliance work, preparing and reviewing clients' GST returns before submission.
  • Apply GST registration, exemption, and schemes.
  • Support clients during IRAS GST audits and queries.
  • Liaise with clients, develop client relationships, and identify additional business opportunities.
  • Conduct GST healthchecks through Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) reviews and Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews.
  • Offer advisory exposure during GST compliance work, advising clients on GST implications and applicable treatment of their business transactions.
  • Meet and prospect new clients to grow the GST business.
  • Corporate Tax Responsibilities:
  • Extract and analyze financial/tax data to identify potential tax risks of a target company.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with clients, target representatives, and inter-office advisors.
  • Prepare reports, particularly for tax due diligence or reviewing sales and purchase agreements under tight deadlines.
  • Assist in tax research/preparatory work and prepare advisory work within tight timelines.
  • Collate information from inter-office people for fee proposals and deliverables.
  • Prepare marketing collaterals or presentations.
  • Assist in pitching for new clients or projects, including preparing meaningful proposals and attending meetings.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as folder management, risk management, etc.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant disciplines like ACCA or Diploma in Accountancy or Business management.
  • 1-3 years or 2-5 years of relevant experience for Associate and Senior roles respectively, but candidates with no experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Exposure to ASK reviews and ACAP reviews would be an advantage.
