Mathematics Educator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled mathematics educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching math lessons to students aged 4-12 years old.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Duties:
    • Conduct engaging math lessons to develop students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Plan and prepare teaching materials and resources prior to lesson.
    • Mark students' assignments and provide support for school's weighted assessment or end-of-year paper.
    • Foster positive relationships with parents and students.
    • Provide regular updates on students' progress and math competency.
  • Support Duties:
    • Take charge of cleanliness and stationery in classrooms.
    • Conduct assessment for new students.
    • Assist in sourcing relief teachers and handling time-sheets.
    • Handle enquiries pertaining to math curriculum and manage trainers' profile.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma/A levels graduate with good math academic records.
  • Enjoy working with children and passionate about supporting students.
  • Some teaching experience in tuition centre or home tuition setting.
  • Good understanding of MOE Syllabus.
  • Able to work 5-day week, including weekends.
  • Tech-savvy for online lessons an advantage.
  • Ability to teach Secondary Math an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skill and communication skill.
  • Positive attitude.
