Job Title: Senior Research Coordinator

About the Role

Our team at a prestigious educational institution is seeking an experienced Research Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing research administration, tracking programme targets and milestones, and reporting progress for research programmes and projects.

The role involves assisting Principal Investigators with grant applications, budget checks, reviews, award management, variation requests, project progress updates, and final reports. You will also ensure all processes adhere to grant policies, guidelines, and funding agencies' regulations.

You will work closely with government agencies for research initiatives, including financial proposal and administrative proposal preparation. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with institutional grant processes, including legal contracts and award creation within management systems.
  • Offering guidance to project teams on grant processes and compliance requirements.
  • Overseeing grant closure processes and facilitating research collaboration agreements and non-disclosure agreements between grant stakeholders where applicable.
  • Managing research portals and related records.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, external parties, and auditors as needed.

In addition, you will research progress report and audit with grantors for both existing projects and new initiatives. Any other duties as directed by executive directors or department heads.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field.


• Preferably with working experience in research grant management in an educational institution.


• Strong planning and organizational skills.


• Good time management.


• Able to learn fast, multitask, and work within tight timelines.


• Good problem-solving skills.


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships, stakeholder management, communicate effectively across all levels.


• Able to work independently and as a team.
