Key Responsibilities

Exercise Facilitation
  • Enhance joint and muscle function through a variety of flexibility and range of motion exercises targeting all major muscle groups.
  • Strengthen physical capabilities by implementing prescribed strengthening exercises.
  • Conduct balance and mobility exercises to improve client stability.
  • Facilitate walking exercises as deemed appropriate by healthcare professionals.
Mobility Assistance
  • Support clients in their mobility needs, including safe positioning and transferring between various surfaces.
Social Engagement & Activities
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in cognitive-stimulating activities, including games and recreational pursuits.
  • Understand and cater to clients' interests through activities such as reading or music.
Documentation & Communication
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of exercises and activities performed during home visits.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team regarding any client concerns observed during visits.
Education for Clients & Caregivers
  • Offer guidance to clients and their families on effective techniques for home exercise.
Support for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Collaborate closely with the care team and family members to address the comprehensive care needs of clients.

Additional Duties

Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times. Report any risks, issues, or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Adhere to established service standards and clinical guidelines. Follow infection control protocols diligently. Mentor and train new staff as necessary. Take initiative for personal professional growth by participating in training programs and workshops.

Required Qualifications

For Locally Trained Candidates: WHS Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience and proficiency in English communication. For Foreign Trained Candidates: A degree in Physiotherapy from your home country.
