Ryu Taro Yakitori PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team.

We are looking for a highly experienced Sushi Chef who can create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish, as well as preparing all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes and informing the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard. They will also be responsible for preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.

Additionally, the Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing appetizers, soups, and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine. They will maintain a clean work environment to prevent food contamination and regularly take inventory of food supplies and other products.

The Sushi Chef will also communicate with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met. They will be a team player and have strong presentation skills.

We require at least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field for this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Japanese cuisine and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. They will be able to maintain a clean and organized workspace and be able to work well under pressure.
