Job Description

**Job Title:** Application Team Lead - Banking and Finance

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Application Team Lead to manage and drive the development, implementation, and support of banking applications within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Lead a Team of Application Developers:** Manage a team of application developers and support staff, overseeing both day-to-day operations and long-term development projects.
  • **Application Development and Maintenance:** Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of banking and finance applications, ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • **Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:** Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure application requirements are accurately translated into effective technical solutions.
  • **Technical Expertise:** Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of all applications, identifying and resolving any technical issues or risks.
  • **Best Practices and Standards:** Develop and enforce best practices in software development, including coding standards, version control, and testing methodologies.
  • **Project Management:** Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering through to implementation and post-production support.
  • **Team Guidance and Mentorship:** Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • **Incident Management:** Coordinate incident management and problem resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • **Reporting and Compliance:** Prepare and present status reports, metrics, and risk assessments to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with industry regulatory standards and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • **Experience:** 5+ years of experience in application development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the banking or finance industry.
  • **Technical Skills:** Strong experience in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java,.NET, Python, or C++.
  • **Project Management:** Proven experience in project management, with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
