Bus Driver Position Overview

This role involves transporting passengers safely to their destinations. The successful candidate will operate buses according to traffic regulations and company policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Transport passengers efficiently using a bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the bus is in good working condition before and after each trip by performing regular inspections.
  • Provide assistance to passengers when boarding or exiting the bus.
  • Collect fares and issue tickets or passes as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly interior of the bus.
  • Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the relevant authorities.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement is mandatory.
  • A clean driving record with no accidents or violations is essential.
  • The ability to pass a drug and alcohol test is also required.
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations are necessary.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are expected.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is necessary.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, good physical health, and the ability to lift heavy objects. Prior experience as a bus driver is beneficial but not necessary.
