Strategic Corporate Finance and Mergers Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of strategic corporate finance and mergers initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, valuation, and deal execution. S/he will be responsible for driving qualitative and quantitative analyses, developing sound judgment in developing financial models, and assessing the reasonableness of drivers and trends by performing extensive search on industry benchmarks and market information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive robust analyses and research on market trends, including market sizing, firm positioning, financial and operational benchmarking, and broad sector analysis.
  • Perform competitive intelligence to understand businesses' positioning and opportunities in the market, then presenting findings to senior management.
  • Understand various valuation techniques such as DCF, comps (trading and transaction), WACC, etc., including identification of appropriate comparable companies or transactions.
  • Oversee due diligence process.
  • Strong ability to influence senior key regional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency and intuitive understanding of multiple business drivers, key value creation levers, and other quantitative metrics that support a full financial model.
  • Ability to process and critically evaluate business models from both strategic investor's perspectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in corporate finance/M&A/deals/investment management, and/or investment banking.
  • Demonstrable significant deal experience, keen understanding of financial markets, advanced Excel skills with VBA macros a plus.
  • Good command of valuation techniques, able to create comprehensive valuation models.
  • Ability to take ownership for delivering projects with high degree of autonomy.
  • Collaboration skills, ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrated record of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High proficiency in terms of written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
