We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to contribute to a new research project on the impacts of generative artificial intelligence tools on visual effects practitioners in Singapore. As part of our team, you will assist in collecting, organizing, and summarizing relevant academic and grey literature on topics relating to creative labour, creative industries, and artificial intelligence.

This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will have experience with qualitative discourse analysis methods and software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti) preferred. Additionally, experience with ethnographic methods, including conducting expert interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions, is desired.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting in data collection, e.g., focus group discussions and/or expert interviews; conducting and interpreting qualitative data analyses for academic publications; contributing to manuscript drafts for academic publications; and performing administrative and project management tasks relevant to this project.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a humanities and social science discipline and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
