Senior Android Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Application Developer to join our team. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.
About the Role- This is a 15-month contract opportunity with a government project.
- You will have a hybrid work arrangement that allows for flexibility and work-life balance.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Android application development using Java/Kotlin with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. You should also have a strong proficiency in the Android SDK, architecture components, and best practices for building Android applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Java/Kotlin and React Native and the Android SDK.
- Implement best practices for code organisation, version control, testing, and deployment automation to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
- Proven experience in Android application development using Java/Kotlin with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in project execution and demonstrated technical expertise.
- Strong proficiency in the Android SDK, architecture components, and best practices for building Android applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Understanding of Android multi-threading mechanism, and background processing.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, and continuous integration.
