Food Science Specialist

This role is supporting the company's compliance program and services, including Halal Conversion and Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing periodic audits, investigations, and hands-on service delivery while contributing to service development through on-the-job learning and formal training.
The main responsibilities of this position include preparing detailed audit and investigation reports that highlight areas of non-compliance and associated risks, documenting all compliance activities using designated checklists and databases according to company policies and workflows, conducting timely follow-ups with clients, closing audits efficiently, and ensuring findings are resolved. Additionally, the officer will perform compliance audits and monitor various Halal operations, maintain and organize electronic and hard copy files and records, prepare and process documents for submission to relevant authorities, engage and communicate with clients and authorities as necessary, monitor audit activity schedules, and provide administrative support and contribute to project committees.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food science and technology, chemistry, and other science-related fields. A diploma in these areas is required, and preferably one year of working experience is desired. The ability to travel locally is also essential.
