We are looking for an experienced Associate Strategy Director to join our Communications Strategy Community.

This key role will be responsible for bringing high-level strategic thinking, communications development, analytics, and audience planning to the business. The Associate Strategy Director will lead strategy for a set client patch with the support of a Strategy Manager, working closely with business leads to identify opportunities and translate them into a smart communications approach.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in media agencies, including within a strategy & insights role, with a proven track record of leading strategic initiatives. Strong collaboration skills, solid understanding of the media landscape, open-mindedness, and strong quantitative & qualitative analytical skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of key campaign projects, leading and building strategic responses to briefs across the client portfolio.
  • Work with internal business leads, as well as clients and agency partners.
  • Deploy our strategic process and platform.
  • Develop relevant consumer, culture, and brand insights to inform communication and channel strategies.
  • Find innovative media opportunities.
  • Identify additional opportunities for key clients to demonstrate our strategic value.
  • Developing and/or sharing thought leadership.
  • Pro-actively share new ideas or projects, bringing forward-thinking solutions to client challenges and helping clients grow.
  • Assist with identifying award-winning opportunities.
  • Champion our strategic products.
  • Be an expert in the process and the platform/tools.
  • Help drive understanding and uptake across the agency.
  • Keep on top of consumer and media trends, including key trends, regulatory changes, and digital innovations that shape the media landscape.
  • Help upskill & mentor more junior strategy members. Conduct training initiatives and industry updates to enhance the team's expertise.
  • Be a key contributor to pitch processes, providing strategic insights and solutions that drive new business acquisitions.
