Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps professional to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for all deployment related activities across multiple hosting providers, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Your primary focus will be on setting up and managing Development, UAT, and Production Environments, as well as coordinating with Software Developers, QA, and Project Managers to deploy web applications.

You will also work closely with System Architects to plan and implement CI/CD pipelines for government, public, and private cloud infrastructures, automating deployments to various architectures, including microservices, serverless, monolithic, and containerized systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy web applications (new applications and upgrades to existing software).
  2. Set up and manage Development, UAT, and Production Environments.
  3. Manage releases from Development -> UAT -> PROD environments.
  4. Prepare backups/recovery processes and procedures and plan for Disaster Recovery.
  5. Work with System Architects to plan and implement CI/CD pipelines for government, public, and private cloud infrastructures.
  6. Automate deployments to different types of architectures including microservices, serverless, monolithic, and containerized systems.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  2. At least 1 year of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  3. Comfortable with Windows and Linux Server environments.
  4. Ability to write scripts to automate processes.
  5. Proficient in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools such as Jenkins.
  6. Experienced with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  7. Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  8. Great communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  9. Experience in the following is a plus:
    1. Monitoring tools
    2. Server orchestration
    3. Government Private Cloud or Government Commercial Cloud
    4. Containerisation (e.g., Docker)
    5. AWS and Azure Certifications
