Job Title: Lead Architect of Distributed Systems

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Architect of Distributed Systems to join our team at HCL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.

About the Role:

  • Design, program, and implement large distributed systems with microservices.
  • Leverage expertise in Application, Infrastructure, and security architecture to drive non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, etc.
  • Translate functional requirements into design.
  • Collaborate with technical SMEs to understand their requirements and ensure they are met.
  • Establish best practices and standards for microservice implementation.
  • Identify and define implementation patterns.
  • Lead activities to build accelerators and tools to increase the quality of deliverables.
  • Evaluate industry technologies to shape service design, considering factors like cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
  • Implement appropriate changes to technologies, integrated platforms, and systems to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Pursue efficient management and utilization of technology, platforms, and systems.
  • Highlight design risks, provide alternative options, and recommend quality solutions to specified problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • At least 8 years of technical experience in architecture development, backend system integration, and software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, including Spring Boot framework knowledge and experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of SOA, Architecture, and Design on Microservices, REST Services, and Soap Services Development.
  • Experience in core Java fundamentals, Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, testing frameworks JUnit and Cucumber.
  • Expertise in design patterns, clean code, and Java Microservices (Spring Boot) Restful APIs and Soap Services.
  • Experience designing and coding scalable Microservices.
  • Familiarity with middleware/messaging technologies like MQ, JMS, Kafka, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Knowledge of Spring Cloud and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Ability to configure and implement Azure Open Service Mesh for Pod-to-Pod communication.
  • Experience with API Management using Azure API Gateway (APIM).
  • Skills in writing deployment pipelines to deploy Java microservices in Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in creating/defining Swagger specs for REST APIs, understanding REST principles, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OAuth token-based authentication protocol and PCI and Security Coding Standards.
  • Experience with MSSQL, data modeling, query development, and performance optimization.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience migrating TIBCO services to Spring Boot microservices.
  • Familiarity with gaming and Hospitality industry would be advantageous.

Compensation Package:

Our estimated salary range for this position is SGD $120,000 - SGD $180,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
