Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

At our esteemed institution, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Pharmacy Technician.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where they will be responsible for performing various technical duties under the supervision of pharmacists. These duties include ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely distribution of drugs.

We are looking for a team player who possesses excellent communication skills and can effectively collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing medication orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Picking, packing, and labeling medicines in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Performing medication reconciliation steps, including counting, sorting, and typing prescriptions.
  • Performing billing functions as required.
  • Assisting senior pharmacists in charge and providing oversight to pharmacy support staff.
  • Coordinating activities within a section to ensure a smooth workflow and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring that the security system is active at all times and taking action to prevent security incidents.

Requirements:

  • Relevant diploma or degree in a field related to pharmacy.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a pharmacy-related role.
  • Possession of Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or equivalent.
  • Completed Basic Skill Test or Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC).
  • Completed NUHS Medication Management Course for Pharmacy Technician (for technicians who are performing clinical duties).
  • Aseptic Dispensing Certification (for pharmacy laboratory and cancer centre pharmacy technicians).
  • Basic dispensary skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and function well in a team environment.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently to achieve departmental goals.
