Job Description

You will work alongside our nursing leaders to deliver patient-centered and compassionate nursing care to individuals with mental health conditions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care according to patients' needs, doctors' orders, and hospital policies.
  • Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Ensuring adherence to hospital and nursing standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for patients at all times.
  • Keeping senior nurse managers, nurse managers, or doctors informed on patients' conditions, treatments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Supervising and mentoring new and junior nursing staff, fostering a supportive and effective nursing team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board license.
  • Advanced diploma in nursing (mental health) preferred.
  • Previous experience in acute care hospitals, especially in psychiatric wards, is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively and empathetically.
  • Patience and emotional resilience, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Strong team-player, self-starter with strong sense of initiative, agility, and perseverance in starting and building a strong culture in performance & engagement.
  • A genuine interest in mental health care and the intention to pursue this specialty with dedication and compassion.
  • Comfortable with performing 3-rotating shifts.
