Job Title: PYP Homeroom Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our team at HWA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PTE. LTD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver core curriculum to students, including primary language of instruction, mathematics, science, and social studies, while meeting learning outcomes in all subjects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to write unit planners, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.
  • Submit unit planners and student work samples to the teacher folder, providing a clear picture of student progress.
  • Lead weekly collaborative planning meetings with other teachers teaching the same class, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility.
  • Provide pastoral care and PSPE learning outcomes delivery during homeroom periods, prioritizing student well-being and development.
  • Meet Drama and theatre arts learning outcomes, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education.
  • Ensure UOI letters are sent to parents, keeping them informed of student progress and achievements.
  • Share formative and summative assessment reports with parents, providing a clear picture of student performance.
  • Complete two detailed semester reports per year, highlighting student growth and progress.
  • Prepare for unit assemblies and one unit exhibition per year, showcasing student work and achievements.
  • Contribute to the UOI newsletters, sharing student work and experiences with the wider school community.
General Responsibilities:
  • Use assessment outcomes to inform lesson planning, ensuring a data-driven approach to teaching and learning.
  • Conduct vertical and horizontal curriculum planning, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.
  • Take on one extra duty per day, contributing to the smooth operation of the school.
  • Coordinate one school event per year, showcasing student work and achievements.
  • Lead one CCA per week, providing students with opportunities for extracurricular learning and development.
  • Conduct one Parent Teacher Conference per semester, providing parents with a clear picture of student progress.
  • Conduct one Student Led Conference per year, showcasing student work and achievements.
