Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for hydroculture landscape projects.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of horticulturists, technicians, and support staff to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate with senior management to align project objectives with company vision.
Design & Planning:
  • Oversee the design and planning of hydroculture landscapes to ensure aesthetic appeal and ecological integrity.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and designers to customize projects according to client specifications.
Technical Management:
  • Supervise the installation, operation, and maintenance of hydroculture systems including hydroponic, water feature, and aquatic plant installations.
  • Ensure all systems operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably to minimize environmental impact.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions promptly to maintain project momentum.
Maintenance Oversight:
  • Manage existing maintenance contracts to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective service.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of maintenance performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Foster strong relationships with maintenance service providers to promote collaborative working practices.
Sustainability & Compliance:
  • Promote environmentally sustainable practices in all projects to reduce carbon footprint and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws to mitigate risk and avoid penalties.
Budgeting & Procurement:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
  • Source and procure plants, materials, and equipment necessary for projects while ensuring quality and timeliness.
Quality Control & Reporting:
  • Monitor project progress to ensure quality standards are met and project deadlines are achieved.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on project status, challenges, and outcomes to foster transparency and collaboration.
Research & Innovation:
  • Stay updated on the latest hydroculture technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance project delivery and sustainability.
  • Incorporate innovative solutions to improve project visual impact and environmental benefits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or related field to demonstrate expertise and knowledge.
  • Proven experience in hydroculture, landscape management, or related roles to showcase skills and accomplishments.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to drive project success and teamwork.
  • Technical expertise in hydroculture systems and water management to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and environmental regulations to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Experience overseeing maintenance contracts and service providers to deliver high-quality services.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Certified Practitioner Horticulturist (CPH) or Certified Arborist (CA) certification is highly preferred to demonstrate expertise and commitment.
  • Fresh graduates from polytechnics or ITE with relevant interests and foundational knowledge are also encouraged to apply and develop their skills through training and development opportunities.
