Job Description

The role of Counselor Educator is to provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to students in counselling-related subjects. This involves delivering engaging course instruction, contributing to the development of counselling programs and curricula, and supervising students to foster their academic and personal growth.

As a Counselor Educator, you will be responsible for instructing students in counselling-related subjects, developing and enhancing counselling programs and curricula, providing mentorship and support to students, and participating in the selection and evaluation process of prospective students.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Course Instruction: Delivering comprehensive and engaging course instruction in counselling-related subjects, ensuring students' understanding and application of theoretical concepts.
  • Academic Development: Contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of counselling programs and curricula.
  • Student Supervision and Guidance: Providing mentorship and support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth, and guiding them in their career aspirations.
  • Research and Publication: Engaging in scholarly research and publishing articles.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Agreement with the institution's mission, vision, values, beliefs, and statement of faith.
  • A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or PsyD) in Counseling Psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of counselling experience, with additional experience in providing psychological education and training preferred.
  • Strong commitment to biblical principles and values.
  • Effective communication skills.
