VACUUM TECHNIQUE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Technical Field Service Engineer to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary of SGD 55,000 - 65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Technical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting key operational activities, such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Edwards products. Your primary objective will be to achieve >95% First time fix rate (FTFR) while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

You will adhere to defined work processes, risk assessment, and SOP, strictly complying with company standards. When required, you will select, accurately maintain, and appropriately use Edwards Product and Field Service Operational information. You will utilize Edwards processes, systems, and people network, including the Edwards Service management application system (SMA), to ensure strong customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking software setup, operation, maintenance, and basic analytics. You will conduct basic fault-finding and troubleshooting support to resolve or escalate issues within agreed contractual timeframes and/or Service level agreements (SLA's) to meet customer expectations.

You will work alongside teammates, demonstrating situational risk awareness for on-the-job SHE, as well as providing strong support for teammates. You will adhere to all relevant aspects of risk control elements associated with all field service activities.

As part of your role, you will be expected to learn and develop your knowledge and skills as a Field Service Engineer. You will advance to more complex product ranges after completing applicable product training.

You will provide detailed and accurate feedback on field service activities and compile clear and concise reports for submission to your line manager and/or technical support. You will submit relevant SMA data after completion of activities to help support operational data collection.

In addition, you will be expected to set up, operate, and maintain software products and monitoring platforms on Edwards equipment. You will work with Edwards processes and operating platforms to accurately capture service-related information, as determined by the scope of responsibility for creation of field service notifications and orders, through to the completion of work orders.

Finally, you will align strongly with organization expectations to deliver and achieve targets.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong customer focus to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations and timeframes, while working in alignment with Edwards strategies and processes.

You should be self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems aligned with job responsibilities and escalate through appropriate channels when required.

You will proactively seek feedback and ask questions to understand business and improve decision-making.

You will collaborate and support team members to deliver company objectives.

You will comply with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety, and health obligations are met.

Additionally, you should have good written and verbal communication skills, proficient in the home country language, with a basic command of written and spoken English.

You will be able to use computer software to record data and write reports.

You should be able to understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work, e.g., technical drawings.

An education level of formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical, or an electronics discipline is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years working experience in a relevant or related industry or technical experience in an engineering, service, or maintenance role, involving direct contact with external and internal customers is required.

Fresh graduates can be considered based on merits.

Previous field service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally customer-facing, is desirable.

You should be able to manage and prioritize activities as directed by line manager.

A logical approach to fault-finding, adopting systematic problem-solving methodology, is essential.

You should be able to interact positively in a multi-cultural and multilingual environment.

Finally, you should be a team player, able to provide support among the team and/or required by the Line Manager.
