Senior Big Data Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Big Data Expert to join our team.

As a key member of our Professional Services Team, you will work closely with clients on short to medium-term engagements, solving complex big data problems using Apache Spark and the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

With in-depth expertise in Apache Spark and data engineering, as well as a solid understanding of the big data ecosystem, you will guide our largest customers through end-to-end development and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive big data solutions for our clients.
  • Ensure that best practices are used within all projects and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Facilitate technical workshops, discovery sessions, and customer requirements gathering for new and existing strategic customers.
  • Collaborate with project managers to estimate levels of effort and mitigate risks within customer proposals and statements of work.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing big data technologies, including Apache Spark, and familiarity with data architecture patterns.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in coding in Python or Scala.
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment models, such as GCP/Azure/AWS/EC2, is a plus.
