About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Principal Engineer to join our team at SURBANA JURONG INFRASTRUCTURE PTE. LTD.

Job Summary

This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience in process engineering, particularly in Coal Gasification, LNG, New Energies, Power, Refinery, Petrochem, and O&G domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out process design works in accordance with project contracts/scope of work.
  • Prepare process deliverables, including calculations, simulations, H&M balances, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, line lists, datasheets, control philosophy, C&E Charts, technical notes, study reports, etc.
  • Conduct equipment and instrument sizing & adequacy checks for existing ones.
  • Assist process safety works through participation in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and close-out of action items to ensure designs satisfy operational and safety requirements.

Additional responsibilities include contributing to the preparation of operating & training manuals, project documentation, ensuring design deliverables reflect accuracy and meet codes, guidelines, and standards while following company QA/QC procedures, and managing and coordinating process discipline engineers & designers to ensure effective use of resources.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking skills, be able to work under tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively to achieve intended outcomes. They should also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a multidiscipline design team in a matrix organization.

Requirements
  • Tertiary education in Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • 10-15 years' experience (with minimum 3 years as a Senior Process Engineer) in Coal Gasification, LNG, New Energies, Power, Refinery, Petrochem, and O&G domains.
  • Prior experience in conceptual, feasibility, and optioneering studies, with exposure to FEED, DE in an EPC/EPCm or Consulting environment.

Able to collaborate and communicate effectively within a multidiscipline design team, demonstrably a good team player with skills in Microsoft Office programs and process simulation software. Self-organized, able to work under tight deadlines, and prioritize work to achieve intended outcomes.
