Job Description:

The role of a culinary expert involves preparing and cooking meals for customers. This requires weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes. The position demands skill in steam, grilling, boiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients. Additionally, the culinary expert must check food and ingredients for freshness, arrange and garnish dishes, and work well under pressure and within time limits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare meals for customers.
  • Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
  • Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
  • Check food and ingredients for freshness.
  • Arrange and garnish dishes.
  • Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment, and utensils.
  • Prior experience in related food service positions is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of hot and cold food preparation.
  • Good understanding of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work 6 days a week including weekends and public holidays.
