Position Overview

The role requires 3-5+ years of expertise in CommVault Backup Solutions and EMC VNX series.

Responsibilities include configuring and managing Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) storage systems and related components, as well as overseeing Storage Area Network (SAN) operations, including fibre channel switch management, data restoration, disaster recovery, and backup solutions for both clients and servers.

Key duties involve maintaining storage aspects during new server integrations, managing storage allocations, and implementing change management protocols.

Additionally, the position entails executing setup procedures to unify data storage across various platforms, including Windows, UNIX, and LINUX.

Successful candidates will troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues, conduct routine equipment inspections, and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities also include conducting storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance evaluation of storage components.

Documentation and Reporting:

Documenting policies and procedures to enhance the operational storage environment is essential, along with participating in the design and continuous improvement of these procedures.

Preparing reports on storage administration best practices, emerging technologies, and recommending enhancements and configuration modifications to optimize storage performance is also required.

Qualifications:

A diploma or equivalent qualification is required, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration.
