Job Summary:

The Simulator Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of simulation devices and systems in support of flight training operations.

This includes managing maintenance schedules, conducting routine checks, and addressing technical issues related to simulators.

The technician must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and work collaboratively with other departments to provide efficient solutions to technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities on flight simulators
  • Ensure all simulators are kept clean and well maintained
  • Perform daily checks on equipment and report defects or maintenance needs
  • Cary out repairs on simulator components as necessary
  • Conduct tests and adjustments on simulator equipment as directed
  • Assist in developing procedures and manuals for operation and maintenance
  • Provide assistance to trainees during flight simulations
  • Collaborate with other departments on technical issues and propose solutions
  • Suggest improvements and modifications to existing equipment and software
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in aviation industry, aircraft maintenance, or manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, IT networks, and computers
  • Workshop practices including health and safety requirements
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards
  • Familiarity with avionics systems and aircraft mechanics
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
