Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

As a skilled Cloud Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Linux system administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat) and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.

Key responsibilities include monitoring cloud infrastructure performance, identifying potential issues, and taking proactive measures to address them. Implementing and managing security best practices for cloud resources and Linux-based systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and security groups is also crucial.

You will work closely with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Optimizing cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance, troubleshooting and resolving system issues, outages, and performance problems are also essential tasks.

Regular system backups, disaster recovery tests, and system upgrades are necessary to ensure business continuity. Providing technical support and assistance to internal teams and clients as required is also an important aspect of this role.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in either Linux administration or AWS cloud required.
  • Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3, and other AWS services.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience securing AWS resources.
  • Expertise in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and system management.
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
